Abstract
Peutz-Jeghers syndrome is a relatively rare inherited autosomal dominant hereditary cancer syndrome characterized by benign hamartomatous gastrointestinal polyps, mucocutaneous pigmentation and a high predisposition to many intestinal and extraintestinal cancers. It can be followed by variety of serious complications such as bleeding, obstruction, intussusception and malignant transformation. We report a case of a 16-year-old adolescent who presented with a 3-day history of abdominal pain and history of bleeding per rectum with no pertinent family history.
