Abstract
We present the case of a 47-year-old woman with high myopia who presented with sudden visual loss in the left eye [1]. Ophthalmological examination found grade III papilledema with flame-shaped hemorrhages and visual acuity of 1/20 [2]. The etiological workup revealed elevated angiotensin-converting enzyme, hilar lymphadenopathy, and a bronchial biopsy showing noncaseating epithelioid and giant-cell granulomas [3]. The diagnosis of ocular sarcoidosis was made. After bolus Solumedrol, the course was marked by rapid clinical improvement.
